Warren Dunes Campout 06/24 – 06/26
When: Saturday February 6th from 7:00am – 10:30am
Where: American Legion Hall (Elburn, IL)

A Scout is Reverent
When: Sunday February 7th from 10:30am – 11:30am
Where: Community Congregational Church
Community Congregational Church, has invited the boys (and their families) to attend and help at their service and to have lunch afterwards. They will be serving pizza, comfort food, and a scout themed cake. This would be a great way to support our charter organization! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know if (and how many people) are planning on attending. The church needs a final number from us ASAP.
The Boy Scouts of America designates the Sunday that falls before February 8 (Scouting Anniversary Day) as Scout Sunday, which is the primary date to recognize the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting.

Who: All Scouts, siblings, and families
When: Saturday, February 20, 2016 3:00pm
Where: Grand Geneva Resort – Lake Geneva, WI
Scouts and their families will be going to the Grand Geneva Resort to ski or snowboard and could earn the Snow Sports Merit Badge. Money due by February 1st.
Prices are for the ski trip are:
Lift only- $26
Lift and Ski Rental- $40
Lift and Snowboard Rental- $40
Checks should be made out to Troop 7.
Who: All adult leaders
When: Saturday, February 20, 2016 8:00am – 4:00pm. Check-in begins at 8:00. Opening ceremony at 8:30 in Illinois Hall. Classes begin promptly at 9:00.
Where: Elmhurst College, 190 Prospect Avenue, Elmhurst, IL 60126. Parking is in the North lot. ALL attendees must check-in at the Schaible Science Center Building (Illinois Hall).
Cost: $35 (non-refundable). The First Aid, CPR and AED class has an additional $15 fee for course materials. Online Registration Only
TFC’s Training Expo is an extension of our day-long Merit Badge University. While nearly 3,000 Scouts attend MBU right around the corner, our Adult Leaders have an opportunity for learning and fellowship too!

Next, Click the Registration link above and follow the instructions carefully. You’ll be able to register, make your class selections and make your online payment. You will receive an email confirmation with instructions on printing/saving your schedule. A hot lunch is included.
Registration is open to all Scouting adult leaders and volunteers. Registration and payment is online only. Due to the requirement to rent classrooms and forecast our headcount for lunch, there will be no refunds for this event.

Cost: Early Bird Registration Fee is $30 / After 2/6/16 the Fee is $40 /
Registration ENDS on 2/21/16 / Once Registration Closes, it is CLOSED!
All Scouts are invited to a lock-in at Rush Copley Health Plex. There is swimming, Dodgeball, Rock Climbing, Basketball, Pizza, Pop, and no sleep!!

When: Friday March 11th 6:00 pm – Sunday March 13th 9:00am
Where: Needham Woods off of Swan Road
- This is the new Scouts’ first chance to camp with the troop.
- All Scouts will need to wear their Boy Scout Class A uniforms
- All Scouts will need to bring a completed PermissionSlip2015 – even if their parent is staying
- Parents of First Year Scouts must be sure they have talked to their Scout the child abuse content located in the Parents’ Handbook
- This weekend will also be new Scouts first Scoutmaster conference. The boys will be asked to repeat from memory the Scout Oath, Scout Law, Scout motto, and Scout slogan, and Outdoor Code as well as be able to explain their meaning. For a list of all the Scout rank requirement, please refer to your Boy Scout Handbook.
- There is a special Crossover Ceremony on Friday night approximately between 7:30 and 8:00pm
- Please pack proper footwear!! Pack several pairs of wool socks, and additional footwear. There have been years where it has been raining all weekend and extra socks were much needed.
